Subject: One of the best books about Peshitta and Peshitto
It must be noted that Ooromiah Edition is Peshitta. But other manuscripts are Peshitto. I believe both Peshitto and Peshitta were called Peshito Syriac in 1800s among European regions.

William Norton did a great job doing the translation of Peshitto-Syriac New Testament. He mentions about Ancient Christianity in South India. He mentions about the Peshitta manuscript that was used in South India. In this book, Norton shows the importance of Peshitto Syriac manuscripts.

Norton's second book about Peshitto Syriac (From Romans to Philemon) is avaiable on the books section of google.com
